Video school Aquatic Images unveils a short clip showing a whale shark swimming in the Gulf of Thailand near the coast of KoTao. The huge animal is surrounded by remora fish: these little swimmers clean bacteria and parasites from their host in exchange for food and easy movement.
This video allows us to study this very special species, characterised by a white spotted coat, more closely. This is the second time in recent years that Aquatic Images has come across the ‘gentle giant’, and you can find more of his underwater footage on YouTube.
