Photographers Edouard Taufenbach and Bastien Pourtout reinterpret Pierre Passebon’s rich photographic collection of Marlene Dietriche. By immersing themselves in more than 2000 images of the film icon, they succeed in creating new photographs, mixed works, reflections on the iconic beauty of the star as well as on her graphic power. This mise en abîme of Passebon’s collection gives new life to an archive that is as vast as it is precious for film and photography enthusiasts. The images are formed in the exchange between the two photographers who, using instantaneous processes inspired by our use of social networks, produce surprising results. Obsession Dietrich is an innovative exhibition that opens the way to new graphic possibilities.
