Elise Dumas, aka The Pineapple Chef, is a food and lifestyle stylist and photographer. « I mainly create content for brands, chefs, restaurants, hotels, publishing houses and magazines… I worked for 15 years in fashion for luxury houses in visual merchandising before embarking on this full-time activity. » she says.

After studying Political Science, Communication and Management, and 6 and a half years in the consulting business, Elise returned to school to study a Master at the French Fashion Institute, which then allowed her to exercise his career as a visual merchandiser. « I had some notions of photography, but no diploma or training in school on this subject. » she explains to us.

« I started a blog 8 years ago about food intolerances because there made my life hard. Eight years ago, there was really not much gluten-free, vegan or organic places in Paris. I wanted to transmit my recipes and photograph them. I always liked the image and the visual. When I realized that my photographs were not of sufficiently high quality, I went to work with foreign bloggers that I admired through their Instagram and Pinterest accounts. It was a revelation ! I understood that, beyond the recipe, I liked to stage it, sublimate it and photograph it. » she tells us.

Since then, Elise likes to create photographs featuring floral arrangements, recipes, or both, to reveal their beauty and emphasize beauty,  in the broadest sense of the term, that surrounds us. « Today, I am – and more and more after traveling around the world – fascinated by the beauty and richness of our products, our heritage, our know-how, our chefs or our craftsmen. This is all that I want to talk about in my work : the quality, the authenticity and the seasonality of our products, the good and the beautiful, without necessarily following a fashion or a trend. » she explains to us. « I am inspired by social networks, but also books, exhibitions, cinema, architecture or even everyday life, nature, seasons… » she adds.

Beauty, a word that resonates perfectly when you discover her different photographs whose colors, shapes, textures and light and shadow effects are completely glorified !
