Montreal visual artist Etienne Dufresne has recently released a new series entitled «Easy Street» where urban photographs of the everyday life confront strange situations. The result is kitschy, extravagant and poetic.

«By overlaying my street pictures with license-free images, I create ambiguous and surreal scenes. This project is about a return to wandering and intuition», he says.

Indeed, this series was elaborated spontaneously during random walks in the neighbourhood of Petite-Patrie in Montreal. He also has used his mobile phone to avoid heavy and bulky cameras. «Easy Street» brings us on the border between banality and fiction. Follow his work on Instagram.
