The group of French astrophotographer Ciel Austral shared a beautiful photography, constructed with almost 4000 images, of a Large Magellan Cloud. In order to obtain this result the photographers needed 1060 exposition hours. Together, the images form a massive digital poster with colorful explosions and pockets of cosmic dust that resemble watercolors dripped and blown across an inky black surface. The photographs measure more than 14.000 pixels and they were taken between July 2017 and February 2019 from an observatory in Chili. The colors in the image are not what you would see for real, they were augmented thanks to special filters.
