Aberdeen-based Scottish artist Terry Cook offers a series of inflatable and ephemeral balloon bird sculptures. Very realistic, his sculptures are composed of balloons of different colors, which imitate as closely as possible the reality of the birds they claim to reproduce. Storks, kingfishers, hummingbirds, ducks can be found in their natural habitat, photographed in the water, hung on a trunk or lurking for a few fish on the banks of a river. The artist points out that this photo work does not leave any balloon debris in nature, since he removes his sculptures from their decor once the photo has been taken. A series far from the usual dogs, hearts and other swords usually carved in balloons.
