Nelson Antonio “La Maldad” Manchego Sierra is a famous boxer from San Andrés, a Colombian island next to Nicaragua. In order to continue the prestigious tradition of his country, Nelson founded here a box school where he teaches to around fifteen kids.
The building where the school has been installed, was formerly occupied by squatters and drugs commerce was very present. Thanks to his friends, Nelson restored it to create a new public space.
San Andrés is an extremely poor island. For Nelson’s kids, boxing is a way to hope for a better future thanks to sport.
