« It was my first visit to Shanghai. It was so futuristic, unbelievable, like a city from the novels surrounded by green parks. Watching all this magificence, it was impossible not to think about architectural photography » says Ekaterina Busygina. The artist traveled to the city of Macau, often called the « Chinese Las Vegas » and realizes a unique photographical series of its singular architecture. Historically known as a fishing village, Macau is a mix between Portuguese and Chinese cultures, as the Portuguese arrived and settle in the city in mid-16th Century. A unique heritage that allowed the historic centre of Macau to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
