Born in the valley of Missoula, Montana, photographer Alexis Hagestad is gifted with an artistic signature full of finesse and melancholy. In love with the vast landscapes, she has spent several years on the road capturing the immensity of the prairie lands, western sceneries and snowy mountains with refinement and a delicate vision of the world.

She draws her inspiration from the different places she lived and discovered. These photos, which are the result of her two series «Inhabited» and «Miles Away», invite the viewer to create memories in the middle of unfamiliar spaces, strangely empty, far from everything and yet so striking. The subtle photographs’ pink and purple light shades add another filter of nostalgia in her romantic universe. Check out more of her work on Instagram.
