The thirtieth edition of the International Photojournalism Festival, organized by Visa pour l’image association, will take place in Perpignan from 1 to 16 September. This year, thirty exhibitions will depict the world news through harrowing clichés. Meetings, conferences and screenings are also planned : The Visa pour l’image evenings retraces the important events that occurred between September 2017 and August 2018. This year, the festival will also take place in Paris, at the park La Villette, where will be organized some projections and exhibitions on septembre 15th and 16th.

Conflicts, social issues, wars, crisis, politics, sports, culture, science or even environment This will include topics such as the conflict in Syria, Iraq, refugees and immigration around the world, global warming and many other topics that have become news this year.The best photojournalistic subjects have been selected for the exhibitions. Shocking and realistic, these images allows photographers to testify about the violence they encounter everyday in their job. It is also a way to show to the public the huge risk that this job requires and also its difficulty, in order to share it, for knowledge and information.
