Thibault Bunoust, french photographer based in Paris, comes back with his “Motel Series”. This is a personal project he has done by himself, from the decor creation and reproduction of a motel in his old apartment to shoots that follows. Having proceeded “as if on a movie set”, the photographer searched in flea markets, second-hand sites, but also in his parents attic, in order to find elements that will constitute the future motel decor.
This purpose is to highlight the place, to make it become the « the main character », and to see the amount of stories that can result from different people present in its staging. His mastery of photography and a perfect luminous intensity allow us to feel the character’s thoughts and emotions in a direct way : a multitude of human beings gathered in the same place, all different but all subjected to a same sense of loneliness.
