Julia Borissova is the Russian artist behind the series Running to the Edge, which explores the subject of the first wave of Russian emigrants in teh 20’s. Combining old pictures and collages of flowers’ petals, she did a whole work of destruction to make anonymous the people on the each photo. The flowers are here to hide an identity but also to modernize through color these pictures in sepia and black and white.
