In 1913, electrician engineer Mervyn O’Gorman took very beautiful portraits of his daughter Christina at Lulworth Cove, in England. He used the technique of autochrome : the first technique of coloration elaborated by the Lumière brothers, and which consists in exposing the image to a light source that passes through glass plates coated by potatoes beans of different colors and fixed by resin.
