The Dutch landscape photographer Albert Dros is known for his images of breathtaking places like Kyrgyzstan and Antarctica, as well as for his explorations of his home country. With his new 4K time-lapse, he highlights the beauty of Amsterdam. The film was made in two years and is an inspiring tribute to this jewel of a city.

Dros took advantage of his tenure during the containment due to COVID-19 to finalize the film, which contains mostly pre-pandemic footage. For five and a half minutes, viewers are treated to high-quality footage that showcases the best of Amsterdam. “With this film at regular intervals, I wanted to create something unique,” writes Dros. “I wanted to create a visual experience with beauty, rhythm and emotion. I want the inhabitants to be proud of their city when they watch this film, and I want tourists to want to visit it”.
