The site Vintage Everyday listed a series of twenty-two photos of abandoned cars with trees growing inside. A phenomenon apparently more frequent than it seems and which would be justified by the fact that the car is an ideal place for seeds that need protection and quietness to grow.

The best known case is that of the tree-cars nestled in a forest in northern Georgia, with more than 4,000 old cars covering 32 acres transformed into a scrap yard museum. It’s a special kind of museum…

The parents of owner Walter Dean Lewis started the business in 1931 as a general store that also sold auto parts. Over time, Lewis developed the collection of cars, stored in the woods. Today nature and old vehicles meet and give rise to modern ruins.
