The American photographer Christy Lee Rogers plunges her subjects into the water to create a series in the baroque style.

As in her previous series, the artist continues to combine water and light to create surrealist pictures that seem to come straight out of a renaissance painting. Through this aquatic series the artist explores human movement and suspended time with weightless bodies interwoven with long coloured fabrics.

“Water is my collaborator. I feel like we are working together to create something that does not exist in reality. I’ve just experienced it to see how far I can push things – light, colour and movement.”
