Belgian-Beninese photographer, Fabrice Monteiro, has unveiled his latest project — a multi-year effort which he has named “The Prophecy” which fights and brings awareness to global issues of climate and ecological disaster.

While the images use real-life destruction and decimation, the characters or subjects depicted in his work are often staged spiritual figures.The models of his composition are dressed in the consumer debris which is causing these issues like fishing nets and plastic bags. The series debuted in the United States in Madison, Wisconsin.
It is being presented in a seminar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison “for the compelling way in which the photographs provoke critical conversations about issues.
