Combining a respect for nature with a highly conceptual investigation into image making, Myoung Ho Lee has been photographing the trees of his native Korea since 2006. Through his work, he immortalizes the beauty and fragility of our eco-systems. This series simply called Tree has been exhibited at the Yossi Milo Gallery in New York. The exhibition’s curators says : “Myoung Ho Lee creates a temporary exterior photographic studio by framing the trees and taking their portrait just like if they were humans. A technique that plays with the codes of traditional painting and instaure a reflection about dimensions and our perception of the surrounding world.”
