« To me, my homeland the Netherlands provides a wealth of opportunities to capture the quintessential feeling of silence within the unique and diverse landscapes it has to offer », says photographer Claire Droppert. With this unique series, the artist offers a beautiful view on natural landscapes from the Provinces of North-Holland, South Holland and Zeeland. « I’m always intrigued by extreme landscapes and I have a interested in abandoned beauty I witness in these particular places. « I want to make others more aware of the wonderful places around them, I would like to make people feel more conscious and informed about the environment that surround them. Our world is full of naturally magestical places and most of this can be discovered right on your doorstep. I think this is something we should admire, but we also should do everything possible to preserve this for future generations ».
