« I have a thing for capturing cultural conditions of lifestyles from various places », reveals Li Ye. For this unique series called « moment – Nyanmar », the Chinese photographer has lingered around Nyanmar for one month by himself, from Mandalay to Bagan, Inle Lake and Rangoon. « I mainly traveled in public transports there like buses and trains. It stands on the top of my traveling transports because it allows me a close contact with the locals. I went to Nyanmar because I’m interested in its strong religious atmosphere. Here, ancient Buddhist traditions are remained. Myanmar used to be an isolated country, what are those traditions like after being militarily ruled for over half a century ? This is what I’d like to know ».

« I love narrating stories with cameras. For me, this is being a photographer. It’s another expression method that allows me to record life and tell stories on a better way ».
