The north-American photographer David Robert Elliott followed between 2013 and 2014 many running athletes in order to capture their face expression after the effort of a run. His series “I used to believe that I could be the next Larry Bird” is a reference to the one who’s named the Golden Hand by the medias, a baseball player became legendary. The book he published is both a documentary and a piece of art, being also an ode to sport, showing athletes after the effort, pushing themselves to the max.

But the series is also ironical and comical, showing the ridiculousness of their faces.
