With more than 40 years of experience, renowned New York photographer Lois Greenfield makes stunning and aerial dance photographs. Although she began her career as a photojournalist, the artist was quickly drawn to the aesthetic and poetic potential of moving bodies.

She has collaborated with various international clients such as Rolex and Disney, and her work has been exhibited around the world.

The series presented here is entitled «Moving Still» and was published in a book in 2015 by Thames and Hudson. Her unique approach to photographing the human form in motion has radically redefined the genre and influenced a generation of photographers. Indeed, the moments she shoots in this series are based not in choreography but in improvisation and happen so fast that they are imperceptible to the naked eye. Her photographic process is also unusual and old-fashioned, shooting only one frame at a time from a manual camera. Visit her website.
