Born in Belgium, Kris Provoost is an architect bases in China, specifically in Shanghai. In parallel with his job, he spent nearly seven years doing a lot of documentation work on the buildings of the Middle Kingdom. At the heart of this large-scale artistic project, the architect has photographed in a minimalist way the details, lines and elements of some iconic constructions of the big cities of China, from Shenzhen to Shanghai and Beijing.
