At a time when we are all hung on our smartphones to capture the objects and people around us, New-Delhi based photographer Shashank Shekhar also enjoys sometimes working with his mobile. He takes many portraits using his phone and handles so well the retouching part that it is difficult to perceive the difference compared to pictures that would have been made with a professional camera.
His photos play a lot with natural light and are imbued with an intriguing intimacy that adds even more to the original use of pocket technology in his creative process. Captivating portraits which make us think about the importance (or not!) of the camera used. Subscribe to his Instagram account to follow his work.
