In 1981, the German photographer Harf Zimmermann moved into Hufelandstrasse, a cobblestone street in western Berlin. Quickly, he realized where he had set foot, his neighbors being more atypical than each other, an oasis of originality in a morose city besieged by the Soviets. Unfortunately, in 1987, the soil was poisoned by gas leaks and the place changed forever. As a final witness, Zimmermann and his camera, who immortalized this unique era.
