Julie Hrudova is a Czech-born photographer living in Amsterdam. You may already know her work on the Japanese capital. This time, it is in the Netherlands that the artist invites us through a bittersweet photo series that pays homage to the tradition of the funfair. Here, the exalted atmosphere of the fairs is tinged with nostalgia. The bright lights of the merry-go-rounds and candy stands neglected by the customers only highlight the disarray of the workers who are gradually being pushed out of the city centres. You can also find her photos on Instagram.
