Manchester-based artist and photographer Simon Bray documented his recent trip to India’s northwestern state of Rajasthan in a series of vibrant images that encapsulate the intriguing and intoxicating vibe in this part of the world. But through the frenzy of scents, sounds and experiences, Bray’s images show a surprising calmness and peace — a testament to the rich contrasts of India.

The book of his travels, The Limited Finds of a Westerner’s Short Stay in Rajasthan, is available here. More of Bray’s work on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
