From the Joshua Tree National Park to Palm Spring, by using the infrared technique, the Australian artist presents a different aspect of California. Thanks to this technique, Kate Ballis makes visible what is imperceptible for the human eye. “I am fascinated with unseen energy and am excited to create work that catches a glimpse of a world that exists just outside human perception, like a memory you can’t quite pinpoint“, she explains.
