In 2011, Joakim Eskildsen has been commissioned from the Director of Photography of TIME Magazine to paint the portrait of American citizens living under the minimum wage. It was the beginning of the huge crisis. The photographer had a long trip with the reporter Natasha del Toro through New York, California, Louisiana, South Dakota and Georgia discovering daily life of these forgotten classes. A strong series that forces the viewer to penetrate into the ordinary life of these decadent hero.
