The Russian photographer Danila Tkachenko produced the series Restricted Areas in which he lists many places marking the technological progress of the URSS but now deserted and unused. All these developments and places have now lost their significance and their ideologies are now obsolete. This series, very delicate and refined, shows that all progress comes to an end. The artist’s care to showcase the technologiques advances of the past by relying on snow-filled floors and clear skies is impressive.
