All along his career as a music video and movie director, Mark Romanek got pretty close with some of the most influential artists of the last decades, both in the area of music and cinema.

In 3O years, he managed to shoot incredibly intimate pictures in 35mm and in black and white. The celebrities he had the opportunity to photograph are thus showed natural, in a single take, in conditions that confer the impression to be with them. Discover a superb panel composed by personalities as diversified as Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Francis Ford Coppola and his daughter Sofia, Lil Wayne, Gus Van Sant, Patti Smith, Mick Jagger or Leonard Cohen.

A selection of photos from this series titled Snapshots is displayed at Colette, in Paris, from January 9th to February 18th.
