Kim Myeongbeom is graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Seoul, where he specialized in the sculpture. He lives and works between Seoul and Chicago. With burlesque, poetry and weirdness, the artist invests the everyday life’s objects and proposes hybrid, delicate sculptures, world which questions on the life and its ephemeral nature. Antler become tree branch, fishes live in electric bulbs, feet of crutches are transformed into hoofs : all the objects are hijacked from their initial function, to surprise, then be reborn in a new light.
