René Koster is a Dutch photographer, who got the idea of a crazy project : the one of creating a photo series entitled Antarctica by travelling across the South Pole on board of a ship built in 1911. His pictures are a tribute to past expeditions by using a modern photographic material. Photographs that reflect the hostility of the ice continent between icebergs, snow and cold weather. A plunge in the great cold as at the time of the first explorers.
