Julien Coquentin is the author of the series “The Dead Zone” that stages a floating black cube in the middle of the French countryside’s landscapes. Inspired by the graphic novel « La Fièvre d’Urbicande » by Schuiten & Peeters, he considers the cube as a black box, a black room that encloses his childhood, a dead zone of his memories that levitates in places haunted by his past.
