Chicago-based photographer Reuben Wu ventures into desert landscapes to capture the splendor and beauty in a unique way.

From Bolivia to Indonesian volcanoes, the artist attempts to ” document and preserve the memory of a landscape in peril”. In each location, the artist highlights the beauty of the land through artificial lighting emitted by drones. In his latest series “Light Storm”, he captures the rocky landscapes of Utah and New Mexico.

He explains: “the project is about presenting familiar sights in a new and unfamiliar light, renewing your sense of seeing and the experience of discovery”
