The Atelier des Lumières in Paris exhibits the work of British photographer and artist Jimmy Nelson as part of his “Save the Planet” cycle. After Yann Arthus Bertrand in 2018, it is Jimmy Nelson’s turn to immerse us in an immersive experience designed by Spectre Lab. With his photographs, this reporter paid tribute to all the peoples around the planet who still live in close contact with nature. Who are, after all, the sentinels of endangered ecosystems and ancestral cultures threatened by globalization.

“The Last Sentinels”, presented during 16 exceptional evenings, illustrates this monumental work within communities living in harmony with a nature as impressive as it is fragile. The merit of this photographer is to have succeeded in establishing real links with these peoples in order to obtain these exceptional, spontaneous and intimate pictures. An open window on a world that has much to teach us.
