Bangladesh-based photographer Ashraful Arefin offers us a stroll through the streets of Delhi, which he had the chance to survey in 2018, and more specifically in old Delhi. He wanted to capture the charm of the city’s historic streets, shaped by time.
In his images, all the essence and the atmosphere of the district are reflected: the old streets, the old buildings and the crowd. The photographer reveals the identity of the city in his series of images. He chose to immortalize these moments most often in the early morning so that his subjects come to life in the golden light of the sun. It thus captured the daily life of the inhabitants in its purest and true aspect, in all its authenticity.
