Italian photographer Massimo Listri presents this year in his book The World’s Most Beautiful Libraries, published by Taschen, the result of more than ten years of documentation and travel around the world. Massimo Listri has undertaken to visit the world’s libraries to photograph the architectural splendours, the play of light and the spectacular volumes of these places, which are too often visited by a reserved public. He presents pictures of the Sainte-Geneviève library in Paris, but also the Palafoxiana bookstore in Pueblo, Mexico, and many others. Made of wood, marble, baroque or neoclassical, these libraries are straightforward in the tradition of Alexandria, to be discovered in paper format.
