It is today with “Connective Tissue” that we find the Polish photographer Jan Kriwol. In this recent project, the latter focuses on the way in which, during an attempt to introduce dictatorship in a State, the authorities channel themselves on physical culture. Sports leading to fatigue, the behavior of the population are impacted and feelings of anxiety and fear are then perceived.

This prevents the energy needed for a possible uprising. Like tissues, people are the basic material of growing conflict, providing information and protecting the fragile parts of the body. As a right allegory, the people in Jan Kriwol‘s photographs embody with some strength and determination this idea and literally put it in shape.
