In Short Stories, Swedish fine art photographer Hakan Strand creates engaging visual narratives that contain a beginning, a middle and an end in a single powerful image. The monochromatic collection is a diary of sorts, a round-up of his daily encounters and travels captured spontaneously on film. Often featuring solitary figures or empty landscapes, Strand’s work can best be described as meditative. We also love how ambiguous his pictures can be, which allows his viewers to connect with the images on an entirely personal level.
