These intense images of lava pouring out of a cliff by photographer Michael Shainblum perfectly encapsulates the power of Mother Nature. Taken in Hawaii’s Volcanos National Park, Shainblum describes the experience as “one of the most truly mystical scenes I have ever had the pleasure of capturing”. Taken from a boat, he witnessed the spectacular imagery of lava shrouded by plumes of smoke, the lava’s changing colours depending on the light and a gorgeous double rainbow as well.
