In a series that balances reality and imagination, photographer Markus Henttonen documents brightly-lit houses decked in Christmas lights in Silent Night. Though festive on the outside, we immediately sense something amiss, and after a closer look we notice the eerily-empty LA neighbourhood, devoid of people. The glamorous surfaces make the insides feel darker, drawing a line you aren’t allowed to cross. See more of Henttonen’s work here, and follow him on Instagram.
