Humans technologies have a terrible impact on environment, it is well known. In our daily life, the anxiety due to environmental issues and to our life conditions is constantly present. Toshio Shibata, Japanese photographer, try to overpass this dichotomy between men and nature. The series we show here, features human-made structures perfectly fitting with the surrounding landscape. The artist establishes an interweaving process between the elements creating a subtle harmony. Long exposures capture water’s strength over constructed sluices and channels. Highways are seen sculpting mountainsides and geometrical precise shapes encounter harmoniously natural lines.
