Through the years and as the expansion of urban areas continues, the architecture of numerous cities tends to standardize. Buildings that used to draw people’s attention slowly give way to uniform constructions, which is not to the photographer Marc Yankus‘ liking.

The artist indeed regrets the lack of originality of the new architects by enhancing old buildings in his own pictures. He almost suppresses every kind of human or vegetal presence in his work in order to showcase the foundations and the shapes of the buildings of the Big Apple.
