Nik Mirus, a conceptual photographer represented by L’ÉLOI, presents a series of still lives captured in studio and inspired by debris he finds on railroads he walks by frequently. On the first look, these pieces of mirrors, broken glass and plastic seem banal. But this photographer pays a lot attention to the details’ aesthetics. He focuses also on the way natural elements like wind, water and light play off reflection, transparencies and textures of these found objects, away from their environment.
