Californian photographer Jay L. Clendenin, who works at the Los Angeles Times, took opportunity of the Sundance Film Festival to take pictures of several celebrities passing by the studios of the newspaper. This vintage series of photographs confers a more intimist and welcoming image of them, corresponding to the artist’s will to offer a different work than what is usually published in this area. The result is a dozen of portraits of Michael Shannon, Ellen Page, Casey Affleck or also Chloe Sevigny sitting at a table in front of a dark background, creating a rare sensation of proximity.
