The original owner of the building located at Willow had built his house shortly after a forest fire with a clear view of Mount McKinley and Denali National Park. After regrowth of the surrounding trees, the virgin view was obscured and the owner decided to expand his house in height up to 12 floors after a decade. Photographers Jovell Rennie and Alaska Aerial Footage recently captured some images of the building dubbed “Dr. Seuss House” in reference to books illustrated stories of Theodor Geisel.
