Japanese artist Azuma Makoto, in collaboration with John Powell of JP Aerospace and a team of ten people, sent a bonsai and flowers’ bouquet in space thanks to a system of boxes that have been elevated into the stratosphere. Photographed once the desired height is reached, this mission called Exobiotanica provided images of great beauty and rare poetry.
