On the small Greek island of Zakynthos, the architectural firm Block 722 designed the Olea All Suite Hotel as a modern retreat, offering an extraordinary view of the island from its hilltop location.
Surrounded by olive trees and a view of the northeast coast, the hotel is designed as a true escape with a “tropical approach to classic Mediterranean architecture”. The concept was born out of the dissolution of borders: there are no barriers between inside and outside, and water circulates unhindered throughout the complex. Composed of 93 suites, the hotel has a central lake with an architecture built around it, “resembling a lake”, explains the firm. Natural materials such as oak, bamboo and rattan characterize the contemporary furniture and interior design elements with the aim of bringing nature back into the home and ensuring an even more complete escape.
