The German-Namibian designer Siedentopf offers original masks to protect against coronavirus.

With the coronavirus epidemic, the demand for surgical face masks is increasing and it is difficult to satisfy everyone. Images of people wearing home-made masks on social networks inspired Siedentopf for this project.

Through How-To Survive A Deadly Global Virus, Siedentopf offers a series of surprising portraits of models wearing different masks. Shoes, vegetables or underwear, the artist uses everyday objects as masks.

“As the virus is currently spreading worldwide, the series offers practical solutions to protect oneself with simple everyday objects. People shared photos of alternatives to the conventional air mask, using objects such as orange peels, bras or water bottles,”
says the designer.
